Warning issued to Christine Müller by the law firm Melchior Krüger Illig

We have recently received another warning letter in which the Melchior Krüger Illig law firm acted on behalf of Ms. Christine Müller.

Claims are being made for copyright infringement. Specifically, it concerns the use of a graphic depicting stars on a red background on the internet or on the social media platform Facebook. Ms. Müller is named as the owner of the copyright to this specific graphic. The client is accused of having used this image without Ms. Müller's required consent. Before engaging a lawyer, Ms. Müller usually contacts the affected parties directly by submitting a so-called authorization request. She informs the party in question that she has noticed the use of her graphic and inquires whether a license for use exists. If such a license is not available, she offers the option of subsequent licensing. If there is no response to this authorization request or only an inadequate response, Ms. Müller usually engages lawyers to enforce her copyright claims.

Have you also received a request for authorization, a warning letter, a temporary restraining order, or a lawsuit? Please contact us by phone or email. Please send us the relevant documents and leave your contact information so we can get back to you promptly.

The asserted claims include the removal of the alleged infringement and the submission of a cease-and-desist declaration. In addition, detailed information about the extent of use and the origin of the allegedly illegally used images is demanded. A license fee is also demanded.

Those affected are strongly advised to consult a lawyer immediately upon receiving an authorization request to investigate the allegations and avoid a possible warning letter and the associated costs. If a warning letter has already been issued, it is important to take it seriously and not hastily contact the opposing party. The requested claims should not be fulfilled without prior legal review, especially the cease-and-desist declaration, as an inadvertent submission can have far-reaching financial consequences. Expert legal advice is essential here to avoid costly further proceedings.

If you have received a cease and desist letter from Christine Müller, our law firm is available to provide nationwide advice. We offer continuous personal contact, cost transparency from the outset, and fast and uncomplicated communication.
